Genesis is a piece of documented history,
Of the Creator in a divine factory.
“Let there be light” was His decree,
And stars glowed like glittering jewelry.
The garden was green and flowery,
But in the middle, a poisonous fruit tree.
The serpent, filled with deceitful treachery,
told Eve that it doesn’t lead to the mortuary.
For disobeying, judgment was passed without a jury,
The snake’s path became dangerously slippery,
Birth pangs the norm during delivery,
And man had to work without a salary.
But then, His love exceeded his fury.
Man did not have to remain in misery,
For the tree of life could not remain a mystery,
When the savior hung on it, bringing a glorious victory.
